Erlangen, Germany, April 10, 2008 – The current version of the EB tresos Busmirror 2008.a supports the control device developer during the phase of starting his own control device, in which the remaining bus users are not yet available. The new version supports your own script language for the specification of functions, which can be performed via target user modules directly on the hardware. This now enables the emulation of even such complex functions as complete environmental models or network management and transport protocol directly on the hardware.

Safety functions, such as the calculation of AliveCounter or checksums can also be created. Execution then takes place in real-time in the emulation hardware. The software supports drivers for signal groups and signal and frame access. It offers signal access to coded and physical values and consistent access to signal groups. Emulated frames and FlexRay nodes can be easily switched on and off.

In addition to testing the programmed function, the EB tresos Busmirror 2008.a can also emulate the reactions to possible fault conditions, such as missing individual frames or the incorrect calculation of checksums. The new software, with its improved user interface, now enables much faster configuration of the nodes to be emulated.

Whilst supporting the EB 61x0 ruggedized FlexRay and CAN interface hardware for automotive applications, EB tresos Busmirror 2008.a now also supports the EB 5100, our new hardware in plug-in card format. This PMC based real-time FlexRay and CAN interface with on-board computation can be integrated via adapter boards in PCI, PXI, VME and PHS bus systems.

The new version of the EB tresos Busmirror 2008.a is now available.
