DECOMSYS VISION Renamed to The EB tresos Inspector 2008.a, with Many New Features
Free for publication on December 3, 2007 at 9.00 am. (CEST)

With a new name and many new features, Elektrobit (EB) presents the next release of the familiar FlexRay BUSDOCTOR 2 analysis tool and the VISION PC software. Following the takeover of the FlexRay specialists DECOMSYS, the FlexRay products will now be speedily integrated in the EB tresos family and be given new names: the BUSDOCTOR 2 hardware will now be the EB 6100, and the VISION software will become the EB tresos Inspector.

The new Release 2008.a also offers numerous new features: thus, the current version supports CAN, even at the signal level. Until now, only measuring and analyzing frames was possible with CAN, but with the Release 2008.a it is now possible to analyze signals in these frames as well. The signal analysis fits smoothly to the FlexRay measurement and analysis window. The EB tresos Inspector thus becomes a full-fledged analysis tool for CAN and FlexRay. Furthermore, the system enables the definition and editing of signals for FlexRay, CAN and at the analog ports – in the future, signal position changes within a frame can be easily understood, even if the data structure differs from that of the FIBEX file read in. With a file in Field Bus Exchange (FIBEX) format, the measuring system accesses all information via the data structure on the bus. Here, the EB tresos Inspector also supports FIBEX+.

'New and unique is also the support of repeatedly occurring signals within a FlexRay cycle', says Product Manager Florian Wandling. Should certain signals – for example for very time-critical applications – be sent frequently over the bus, with EB tresos these can be planned at any arbitrary positions in different frames in the same cycle. With the new release of the EB tresos Inspector, these signals can be accordingly measured and analyzed.

EB thus offers a complete tool set for ECU software development, from design up to analysis. The EB tresos Studio covers the requirements for design, the EB tresos AutoCore is available for implementation, and the EB tresos Busmirror rest bus simulation solution and the EB tresos Inspector FlexRay and CAN measurement tool assumes the analysis function.
