EB tresos Busmirror:
The FlexRay Cluster Simulation Solution

Secure data communication and high bandwidths in automobiles of the future require precise FlexRay simulation with the EB tresos Busmirror. The residual bus simulation solution has been developed especially for the requirements of the FlexRay environment.

EB tresos Busmirror supports the ECU developer during the startup phase. The remaining participants on the bus are thereby not yet available. With the residual bus simulation, it is possible to test own ECU software together with the other emulated ECUs. The convenient development environment is thereby simple to configure and despite this provides a high degree of flexibility and efficiency.

A Precise FlexRay Simulation Creates Performance Advantages

In addition to the testing of the target function, reactions to potential error states can also be emulated with EB tresos Busmirror, for example the sporadic absence of individual frames or the incorrect calculation of checksums. With EB tresos Busmirror, the ramp up of a FlexRay network and the configuration of the nodes to be emulated can be set in a matter of minutes and the system is quickly ready for use. Using so-called “target user modules“, functions can be executed in real time on the hardware. In this way it is possible to emulate complex functions, such as complete environment models or network management and transport protocols. These functions generally vary between automotive manufacturers and can be obtained from us upon request.

FlexRay Cluster Simulation with EB tresos Busmirror Includes:

  • Emulation of FlexRay nodes in the network (residual bus simulation)
  • FlexRay cluster startup
  • Simulation of error states
  • Startup and testing of network and transport protocols
  • Compatibility with EB 6100 and EB 5100

The EB tresos Busmirror software is simple to operate and minimizes the complexity of the configuration of a residual bus simulation as far as possible for the user. With just a few clicks of a mouse, an executable residual bus simulation can be configured and rendered ready for use. Of course, a variety of possibilities are also available for manual intervention and for the modification of requirements.
