EB Connectivity Module Reference Platform is a modular, easily customizable solution for building Machine-to-Machine (M2M), Telematics, Mobile Satellite Services (MSS), or Media gateway products.

Product Overview

 

The reference platform consists of a data module (2G/3G/4G or satellite modems) and an application module (application processor, WiFi, Bluetooth and custom interfaces). Both data and application modules can be incorporated in a single compact plastic housing. They can also be used independently, providing connectivity or other capabilities for end-customer products.

The data module can be utilized as such in various M2M or Telematics applications, providing cellular (2G/3G) and/or satellite connectivity. The modem functions can be controlled using normal AT-commands. 4G (LTE and Wimax) are also available, but are currently optional features. They will be integrated per customer demand.

The application module can host more complex applications and services, from hardware point of view it can e.g. be used for broadcast Mobile TV (DVB-H, DVB-SH or DVB-T) reception, or as an embedded Media Server (DLNA). EB Connectivity Module Reference Platform is built on embedded Linux, enabling it's quick adaption and customization.
