EB joined Intel's MID Innovation Alliance in April 2007 and developed EB Mobile Internet Multimedia Device reference device (MIMD) as a proof of concept for Intel's MID category. Now EB as a technology company offers the reference device under license to OEM's looking to develop a MID device.
The reference device represents a new category of devices providing fast, ubiquitous and portable broadband access. It has been designed to provide rich end-user experiences for browsing, WEB 2.0 services, multimedia consumption and navigation in a fully mobile environment. EB's own navigation solution Street Director is fully integrated as part of the reference device.
