IEEE 802.11 Testing with EB Propsim F8 and Geometric Channel Modeling Application

Recent development in the IEEE 802.11 standard has introduced the ac amendment as evolution of the 802.11n for very high data rate to end user devices. The IEEE 802.11ac testing is a tremendous challenge due to wide signal bandwidth and modern MIMO technologies such as beamforming and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO). To meet these challenges, EB has developed support for 80 MHz and 80 + 80 MHz bandwidths in EB Propsim F8 with enhanced modeling capability for beamforming and MU-MIMO testing.

Enhanced Aerospace Application for EB Propsim F8 with New 1.4 Firmware Release

Introduced in November 2011, a newly updated version of Aerospace Application for the EB Propsim F8 radio channel emulator is now available. Developed for commercial airborne, satellite communication and defense use, the newest update for this feature has the capacity to test high velocity and long distance radio links on ground, in air and in space. The updated Aerospace Application extends the maximum emulated delay to 1.3 seconds, which translates to a distance of nearly 240,000 miles (i.e. the distance between earth and the moon).
