New EB GUIDE is out: see what we added to develop more complex user interfaces more simply
EB is pleased to announce that the latest version of EB GUIDE, Elektrobit’s end-to-end HMI development platform to create compelling, state-of-the-art user interfaces for cars, has just been released!
As cars get connected and displays turn bigger, users of modern cars are bombarded with more and more information. As a consequence, interfaces offered to present these data are getting more and more complex, not only to use but also to design, create, and maintain by car manufacturers and their suppliers.
Discover in this blog post how the latest innovations brought to EB GUIDE will boost your HMI development and enable you to “wow” your end users with new, simple, and exciting interfaces.
The latest EB GUIDE release increases your team efficiency even further. Save time and money with the new release!
Modularization – Divide and conquer to increase productivity
EB GUIDE toolchain offers modularization which allows developers to model their user interfaces into multiple individual parts. With this feature, in the previous version, you as a user interface modeler had the opportunity to split the user interface into multiple parts that could be modeled individually. Read our first blog post about modularization here. With this latest version, we further simplify the management of multiple models. Now, it is possible to define model interfaces on model levels to improve the collaboration in a distributed development environment directly within EB GUIDE Studio.
With this unique feature, we enable multiple developers to work on different HMI models of the overall user interface at the same time, help improve the team collaboration and productivity, and reduce development time and costs.
Interoperability – Seamless UI development workflow integration with EB GUIDE APIs
With the latest EB GUIDE release, we have opened further EB GUIDE APIs. Thanks to the detailed interface documentation coming with, you have the possibility on one hand to extend the built-in functionality of each single product of the EB GUIDE product line (for example Studio, Monitor, or GTF) and seamlessly integrate it on the other hand into your development toolchain. Check out some cool examples to manipulate EB GUIDE API and even further additional resources on!
User Experience – Get straight to your point, faster! Discover the Studio experience improvements!
Our UX designers and development team worked hard on this release to further improve your experience when using EB GUIDE Studio:
- With the new state editor, you can now easily drag transition lines like splines to have a better overview of the transitions and states.
- Tired of moving you mouse between the view pane and the zoom scale to zoom in/zoom out? We got it! You can now do it by pressing Ctrl and rotating the wheel button or using common Ctrl and +, or Ctrl and – shortcuts, all there to enable you to go fast.
- Want to create additional sophisticated graphic effects? Discover the new camera widget. Now, the visuals created look even sharper and more authentic than ever before! We added a new widget feature called font metrics to better manipulate characters when using multifont. See how you can be more efficient with multifont here. Working on huge models with lots of templates? Search easily any template properties in a separate panel in EB GUIDE Studio.
