Continental AG has formally closed the purchase of the Elektrobit Corporation (EB) Automotive GmbH unit. The remaining Elektrobit Wireless business is being renamed to Bittium Oyj (in English, Bittium Corporation).

Becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of leading automotive manufacturer Continental AG will enable EB to offer customers even better opportunities, products, service, and support.

EB will continue to operate as an independent entity under the leadership of President Automotive Business Segment and Managing Director Alexander Kocher and Executive Vice President Finance and Business Support and Managing Director Gregor Zink.

As a result of the sale of EB’s Automotive unit, the wireless business will operate under the name Bittium Corporation and will move to a new online location. Wireless users can now find information at the site www.bittium.com.
