EB introduces new user experience services with Amazon Alexa

EB introduces new user experience services with Amazon Alexa

EB has proven to have expertise in developing state-of-the-art voice user interfaces already. With the integration of Amazon Alexa into the car, EB is now even expanding the reach of natural language technology.

Alexa helps you simplify and organize your life at home – now you can take her with you on the go. Alexa can help you play music, get directions, place calls, listen to audiobooks, control your smart home, and more – with just your voice – so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road

OFP project now successfully finalized

OFP project now successfully finalized

An effective solution for the integration of automated driver assistance systems – that is what the open fusion platform (OFP) was developed for. In cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the project members found a way to offer OEMs a low-cost and adaptable platform with open interfaces. As part of this project, which has now been finalized with success, EB worked on a valet parking system with automated cars. We provided the EB Adaptive AUTOSAR stack as well as the Classic AUTOSAR stack which runs on NVIDIA hardware.

Ego-motion and localization interface design for automated driving

Ego-motion and localization interface design for automated driving

Typical software platforms for automated driving require global and local position inputs. However, the need to coordinate and combine many different components intensifies the complexity in automated and autonomous design, particularly in the determination and distribution of the required position information. This online article in ElectronicDesign by EB's Sebastian Ohl and Henning Sahlbach discusses the basic concepts to deal with inherent design challenges and presents practical implementation examples.

Girls for Technology

Girls for Technology

Software development is not just for boys. That is why EB opened its doors to up-and-coming female talents at their first-ever Girls' Day. Eight future-innovators from 11 to 14 years old got a taste of a real computer scientist's work. The girls were able to learn how software is developed for future cars and could experience the technology first-hand. One of the most thrilling highlights: a ride in one of the latest automated cars. The girls were impressed: “It was really cool and exciting!”

Connected vehicles – Future-proof software solutions

Automated connected vehicles will increase passenger safety, reduce environmental pollution, and enable new user experiences through seamless integration with digital lifestyles.

On the other hand, the increasing degree of automation also raises the software complexity and a connected car must be end-to-end secured. For this, EB provides innovative and highly sophisticated solutions.
