What better way to experience EB Assist Test Lab at Continental’s Innovation Showcase (CIS) in October, in Brimley, Michigan than a live demo?

That's exactly what EB's dedicated Head of Technology Research, Jérémy Dahan thought!

But instead of just shipping EB's special test car, a Lincoln MKZ outfitted with various sensors such as lidar and radar, across the country from EB's Test Center in San Jose, California to Michigan, Jérémy was up for combining research and adventure!

He took the Lincoln to the road and drove the 3500 miles to CIS himself! Along the entire route, Jérémy used EB Assist CAR Box to efficiently capture test data under every weather condition.

Then, with our cloud-based tool EB Assist Test Lab, he was able to make the collected data available and usable for distributed development teams, enabling them to validate the trunk full of data (as the popular German newspaper FAZ put it).

And it allowed Jérémy to not only beautifully record cool places along his cross-country trip like the Salt Flats in Utah, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. He also learned that it's hard for a color camera to distinguish bison from tree shadows under hard daylight conditions. But an infrared camera does the trick!
