New 2D and 3D features – physical-based material models, high dynamic range rendering and the Alpha Mask widget

With this version, we’ve introduced a number of new features. For 3D users, we’ve added physical-based material models as well as gamma correct and high dynamic range rendering to the 3D scene graph. For 2D, we’ve added a new Alpha Mask widget that enables the manipulation of its children’s transparency using an image.

Animation editor

The new Animation editor allows you to create and animate your models. What’s new about this feature? We’ve removed the animation curves in the toolbox – this now means users have a clear, well defined, and crisp navigation tree. What remains is the animation-related widget ‘Animation’, which is now located in the Basic widgets category. When you add an animation widget to your view, the new Animation editor opens automatically, allowing you to simply click on the + button to add an animation property.
