The Future of Transportation

The latest technologies impact not only the way we drive, but also the way we think about driving. How does that, in turn, affect the way the automotive industry thinks? Find out in this visionary video featuring Dr. Björn Giesler of Elektrobit (EB), Patrick Popp of TE Connectivity, and Robin Chase of Zipcar.

Events

GPU Technology Conference

GPU Technology Conference, San Jose, CA

April 4 – 7

The GPU Technology Conference is the event of the year for GPU developers. Some of the topics to be explored this year include artificial intelligence, deep learning, virtual reality, and self-driving cars. EB is sending two representatives, Sebastian Ohl and Christian Reinhard, to Silicon Valley to offer insight into software architectures for autonomous driving and augmented reality in vehicle head-up displays, respectively. Hope to see you there!

Autonomous Vehicle

Autonomous Vehicle, San Jose, CA

April 8

Autonomous Vehicle brings together the Autotech Council, the Telecom Council, and guests in a half-day, executive-format meeting—To Drive or Not to Drive?—to discuss the present and the future of the autonomous and connected car.

EB has been invited to sit on a panel that asks, “Should carmakers compete with Silicon Valley, or use IT?” Join us as industry leaders scrutinize the sometimes-divergent relationship between carmakers, historically reluctant to rush innovations to market, and technology companies, ever eager to push the envelope.

2nd International ATZ Conference

2nd International ATZ Conference, Driver Assistance Systems, Frankfurt, Germany

April 13 – 14

This year’s ATZ Conference is all about the range of issues involved with making the leap from assisted driving to automated driving. Points of discussion include markets, users, and sensor systems and other components, with a focus on vehicle IT security.

We hope you can join Dr. Björn Giesler, Head of Driver Assistance at EB, as he presents "DNA for Autonomous Driving: Adapting Robot Architectures to AUTOSAR." Björn will show how robot architecture can map to AUTOSAR as well as to current ideas, such as update over the air, cloud computing, and functional safety.
