Elektrobit (EB) expands AUTOSAR development globally

Two new locations established to drive the advancement of EB’s AUTOSAR projects that will pave the way to autonomous driving.

ERLANGEN, Germany, April 18, 2016 Elektrobit (EB), a leading developer of cutting-edge, embedded technology solutions for the automotive industry, has announced its expansion to two new international locations: Timisoara, Romania and Bangalore, India. The expansion will add up to 80 developers. With these additional resources and skilled developers, EB plans to support current development of its EB tresos line of solutions, and expand its efforts in the next generation of AUTOSAR. With millions of vehicles on the road around the world, the EB tresos product line is already leading the industry.

EB currently provides top automotive manufacturers and suppliers with software and services in a variety of areas including driver assistance, navigation, infotainment, connected car and car infrastructure. Its state-of-the-art AUTOSAR-compliant solutions for electronic control units (ECUs) encompass basic software, operating systems, configuration tooling, functional safety solutions, testing and integration services.

The offices in India and Romania will focus on strengthening EB’s AUTOSAR software, tooling and services portfolio to meet the increasingly complex requirements of the market. With the growing demand for advanced ECU solutions to power automated driving and connected car systems of the future, EB is planning for further enhancement through Adaptive AUTOSAR, the future-oriented approach for mastering the increased performance, reliability and flexibility needs of modern ECUs and domain controllers.
