An autonomous car requires information about its environment to act properly. Sensor data will have to replace human senses. Each type of sensor has different strengths and weaknesses, so multiple sensors need to be combined to get the most probable picture of the environment. Data from specially equipped cars is not sufficient to keep maps of entire countries up to date. Every car and every driver must participate to maintain a highly accurate map in the same way as Wikipedia users do to keep the world’s largest encyclopedia updated. Find out how EB’s technology contributes to this approach.
