Introduction
At IAA Mobility 2025, Elektrobit announced the availability of EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) on AWS Marketplace. This launch represents a major step in accessibility for automotive developers. For the first time, a safety-ready, open-source-based Linux OS solution can be deployed entirely in the cloud within minutes, without downloads, installation, or dedicated hardware. Cloud-native workflows enable developers to prototype, evaluate, and validate safety-critical Linux systems on ARM hardware directly in AWS. By removing traditional bottlenecks, this approach accelerates time-to-first-prototype and opens new opportunities for collaboration and continuous integration in the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) era.
