Proven to safeguard connected systems
Protects against variety of cyber threats in the interconnected automotive ecosystem. Already on the road and trusted by manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.
Complete offering
While each security protocol has its own advantages, an effective security strategy often requires a blend of technologies to tackle various layers and types of threats. Elektrobit provides a full range of protocols to safeguard data exchange, covering Layer 2 (MACsec), Layer 3 (IPsec), Layer 4 ((D)TLS), and even the Application Layer (SecOS).
Classic AUTOSAR compliant
Flexible and easy to configure, security protocols are easy to adopt in Automotive networking applications due to Classic AUTOSAR fully compliant implementations.
Efficiency and performance
Robust security is ensured through performant implementations, focused on efficiently using processing resources, leveraging over 35 years of Elektrobit’s experience in automotive networking and software development.
Automotive network security
(D)TLS
(Data) Transport Layer Security (D/TLS) is a cryptographic protocol ensuring the data transmitted between end-nodes remains private and secure (including verifying the integrity of the data). (D)TLS is used in automotive networks to secure communications between various components, systems, and external services.
IPsec
Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), is a set of protocols and standards used to secure Internet Protocol (IP) communications. It provides a framework for securing network communication at the IP layer by authenticating and encrypting /decrypting each IP packet within a communication session.
IPsec enhances the security of communications between different components and systems within a vehicle, as well as for ensuring secure connections between vehicles and external networks.
SGTS
Secured Global Time Synchronization (SGTS) is an integrated security mechanism for Global Time Synchronization (GTS) to reduce the potential security risk in vehicles given its use cases in safety-critical, time-critical, and security-critical applications. Introduced in AUTOSAR R22-11 ensures the integrity and authenticity of the global time distributed inside the car across CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet networks.
