Account creation & password reset

How to create an account for Elektrobit’s support portal

In order to create a user account, navigate to the ‘Create an account’ link on the lower part of the ‘Welcome to Elektrobit’s product support’ page

  • Click create an account and enter your office e-mail address and captcha to sign up
  • You will receive an e-mail from Elektrobit’s product support to the address given. The e-mail holds a private sign up link for the user account activation
  • Activate the user account by clicking on the sign up link
  • Once the user account is activated login to the support portal and create support tickets

If you did not receive a sign up link on account creation

  • Check your spam folder
  • Contact your IT service department to check if Elektrobit’s product support e-mail ID is blocked

If you cannot log-into the support portal

How to reset the password for Elektrobit’s support portal

  • In order to reset your password, navigate to the login page of Elektrobit’s customer portal
  • Click Forgot your password
  • Provide your e-mail address and click on Email me
  • You will receive an e-mail from Elektrobit’s product support to the address given. The e-mail contains a reset link for the password reset
  • Once the password is reset, login to the support portal

 

Ticket history & sharing

How to check the support ticket history in Elektrobit’s support portal

In order to check your support ticket history

  • Navigate to your requests
  • Adapt options for ‘ticket status’, ‘ticket reporter’ and ‘request type’ to your needs by selecting the adequate drop down option

How to share a support ticket in Elektrobit’s support portal

The default sharing option of Elektrobit’s customer portal is private.

In order to share an existing ticket with colleagues (or your organisation)

  • Open your ticket and navigate to the ‘Share’ option (on the right upper side of the ticket)
  • Open the sharing window
    • Provide your colleagues if you want to share with a limited audience only
    • Provide your organisation if you want to share with your complete organisation

Please note that email notifications will be sent to all issue participants. This means, if you share with your organisation your whole organisation will receive those notifications.

In order to share a support ticket with your organisation on ticket creation

  • Navigate to the bottom of the web form
  • Expand the sharing options
  • Select your organization

Please note, that email notifications will be send to all issue participants. This means, if you share with your organisation your whole organisation will receive those notifications.

In order to reduce the number of email notifications, you can create a private request and share with your organisation at a later stage.

Precondition: activated user account and assignment to the respective organisation
